What are maps? What’s important for us? Where are we now? Are we there Yet?!? Same Sky and Phoenix Brighton continue their ongoing collaboration for a third year with a young people’s art exhibition. Young artists from local primary schools will work with Same Sky, a celebratory arts organisation, to make large and small scale pieces of work and to find out about Phoenix Brighton, its studios and gallery. They then see their work professionally presented in a centrally located, dedicated exhibition space. This year’s show will centre upon the theme of ‘Geography of Place’. Participants will create maps and charts based around this theme, transforming the exhibition into a journey of the imagination. For artists interested in working with schools and community groups you are invited to take part in our INSIGHT event: INSIGHT: Artists working with schools and community groups Presentation and discussion led by director of Same Sky, John Varah Tuesday 28th June 6 – 7:30.
