Richard Moss

Born in Derbyshire, Richard has lived in Brighton since 1992. He currently works as Deputy Editor at Culture 24 a government funded arts organisation that publishes the website {24 Hour Museum|www.24hourmuseum.org.uk}, which is a national online guide to museums, galleries and heritage in the UK.

As Deputy Editor of 24 Hour Museum Richard’s responsibilities include the day to publishing of the website, reporting, writing, reviewing, editing and supervising a team of reporters and a UK-wide network of volunteers writers.

He studied History and English at Manchester Poly (now Manchester Metropolitan University) and has worked in a variety of roles and occupations from tree planter to bookseller.

A full time arts journalist for the last five years, Richard divides most of his time between walking the Downs, reading, visiting art galleries, museums and heritage sites, working his allotment in Bevendean and playing music in various bands around Brighton.

Richard assists Phoenix with press and sits on the Phoenix marketing sub committee, which works to promote the organisation both locally and nationally.
