ARTISTS’ OPEN STUDIOS

Saturday & Sunday 16 & 17 October 2010, 11am - 5 pm

Phoenix Brighton opens its doors for one weekend, inviting the public to come and see where the artists work.

Jewellery, ceramics, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, film, performance and design are among the many areas represented within this large and diverse community of visual artists.

There is the opportunity to see work in progress, buy high quality artwork from the shop, partake of free workshops, performances and talks, and enjoy refreshments in the cafe.

 

ART JUNKY

Sunday 21 Nov, 2010-  11am - 5pm

A jam-packed eclectic indoor market showcasing local artists, crafts, collectibles, music and more! The Art Junky Cafe and Bar will be serving homemade goodies and winter warmers, plus our great live DJ's and facepainting!

ACTUATE MY VOID

5 Mar – 3 April, 2011

Wed - Sun 11am - 5pm

'Actuate My Void' brings three light and sound installations to Phoenix Brighton. The works make use of digitally generated audio, intense projected colour and reactive lighting to configure three darkened gallery spaces. Not suitable for people sensitive to flashing lights.

Anne Magill on a London Billboard!

Phoenix artist Anne Magill has been selected to feature in a project by Rankin.

The Street Galleries take over every billboard, poster, bus stop, phone box and advertising space in the main street of six major cities across the UK, to exhibit specially commissioned innovative photos by award-winning photographer, Rankin.
